 |  | About Toluca BrandToluca Brand was created by owner/designer Jill McManus, an artist at heart, who has decided to incorporate her passion with her career. Having worked for a national magazine in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years, she decided it was time for a change of pace and moved to Burlington, Vermont, where she took some time to honor the artist in her. The result of that exploration is Toluca Brand.
Jill has been making her own jewelry since she learned, as a child, to weave plastic strips into gimp bracelets at summer camp. Since then, her designs have matured (thankfully!), though she has never lost the one thing that drew her to it � a love for creativity.
With Toluca Brand, a name inspired by her Chocolate Lab, Toluca, Jill creates stylish, yet casual, pieces of jewelry that remain unique; something she felt was lacking in the realm of fashion jewelry. Toluca Brand grew from the single idea to incorporate authentic spur rowels into jewelry design. Jill grew up surrounded by horses and with a love for the casual style of the west. Though English riding was learned, she preferred a western saddle and a long trail ride. It was only natural for her to want to use spur rowels in her jewelry creations.
Toluca Brand works directly with an artisan in Texas who hand finishes many of the rowels used in the jewelry, making them even more unique and special to our creations. We also offer jewelry without the incorporation of the rowel, but in keeping with the classic, simple good looks of the company.
The materials used in each design are hand-selected and each piece is handmade, ensuring the quality and detail that Toluca Brand represents.
